- Prairie City cheerleaders and cheer camp participants perform a routine at the Independence Day parade on Monday, July 4, 2022, in Prairie City.
We’re working on a wide variety of stories for this week’s edition of the Blue Mountain Eagle. Among others, look for stories on how the Blue Mountain Hospital District board may have skirted state open meetings law in its recent CEO search, the discovery of two bodies in a remote corner of Grant County, a major new housing development in Canyon City, Fourth of July festivities in Dayville, a motorcycle ride to honor veterans and all-state accolades for a half-dozen Grant Union/Prairie City softball players.
In case you missed it, last week’s paper featured stories on Prairie City’s Independence day parade, plans to close some forest roads during bowhunting season, a benefit for a local man with a rare form of cancer and the grand reopening of the historic Dayville Community Hall.
