JOHN DAY — Gubernatorial candidate Betsy Johnson will be in John Day next week to discuss her campaign with voters.

Johnson will be at the Grant County Regional Airport in John Day from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, for a “Beers with Betsy” event.

The local visit is part of two-day, 10-city whistlestop campaign swing dubbed the All of Oregon Tour.

Johnson will be making four stops in Eastern Oregon. After her John Day appearance on Tuesday, she plans to visit Joseph, Moro, Fossil and Condon on Wednesday.

Johnson served as a moderate Democrat in the state Legislature for many years, frequently voting with Republicans, before resigning her post and leaving the party to run as an unaffiliated candidate for governor.
