Parks & Rec Board meeting

• 4 p.m., John Day/Canyon City Parks and Recreation District office, 845 NW Bridge St., John Day

The John Day/Canyon City Parks and Recreation District board will meet. The agenda will include dog control policies for the Seventh Street Complex, a budget and financial report, a programs report, an ODOT easement, pool bond ballot abstract and a maintenance update.

Christmas carol sing-along

• 7 p.m., Prairie City Community Center, 211 S. McHaley Ave., Prairie City

All Grant County residents are invited to gather around the piano and sing favorite Christmas carols in this event sponsored by the city of Prairie City. Coffee and hot chocolate will be provided, and participants can bring Christmas treats to share if they wish. Local musicians are invited to bring their instruments.
