To the Editor:

Elections do have consequences.

Recent elections obviously have had an effect here in town. Can’t remember the last time city crews took the time and effort to actually care for our city streets after a snowstorm. “If it doesn’t snow at least 6 inches, nothing will be done” was the norm.

Now it is heartwarming to see the backstreets and intersections plowed early and actually graveled.

Most city residents do appreciate your efforts to bring back some city safety.

Now — if we could just somehow get our city police department back …
