To the Editor:

Do we need a better example of the new method of teacher training and indoctrination than the young lady recently terminated from her position in John Day?

Now, this woman may have a flaw, or she may need counseling regarding her views on teaching; what is appropriate to discuss with young students. Even a health class should limit certain subjects and stop bad behavior in the classroom.

Unfortunately, social media is overflowing with young teachers bragging about their “progressive” methods of instruction. From pushing students to question their gender to pushing Critical Race Theory, education is struggling.

Terminating this teacher, considering complaints, was undoubtedly right, and hopefully Grant County schools are watchful and dedicated to a relevant curriculum. Children naturally question everything, but they deserve honest answers, not twisted and dishonest rhetoric.
