Circuit Court

The Grant County Circuit Court reported the following activity for the week ending July 12:

July 10

Tiffani Minkowsky, 20, of John Day pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count for failure to perform the duties of a driver (property damage) and a count of driving uninsured, both committed on May 9, 2023. Minkowsky was given a suspended sentence, is required to complete 30 hours of community service or work crew time, must obtain a mental health evaluation and complete any recommended treatment program and must have no contact with the victim. Minkowsky was placed on supervised probation for 18 months and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $200.

Larry Gene Hesseltine Jr., 47, of Albany pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of intoxicants, committed on May 25, 2023. A count of violation of the open container law in a motor vehicle and a count of careless driving were dismissed. Hesseltine was given a suspended sentence and his license was suspended for one year. He was placed on supervised probation for 18 months and was ordered to complete a victim impact panel program as directed by the court, not enter into an establishment that sells alcohol, not use intoxicants, install an ignition interlock device and complete 40 hours of community service or county work crew. He was ordered to pay a fine of $2,255.
