LA GRANDE — There is no new information regarding the death investigation of an Albany man in the parking lot of the Best Western Plus Rama Inn & Suites, La Grande, as of Friday, Aug. 18, according to La Grande Police Lt. Jason Hays.

Police responded to the motel, 1711 21st St., on Aug. 16 after receiving multiple 911 calls about a man jumping out of a moving pickup truck, according to a press release from the La Grande Police Department. Bud Moseley, 35, sustained a head injury and was killed in the incident.

According to police, the pickup truck was driven by David Polayes, 35, also of Albany. Moseley, who was sitting in the passenger seat, leaped from the moving vehicle and was run over.

Witnesses tried to help Moseley, and Polayes stayed at the scene, police said, and everyone was cooperative.

Moseley and Polayes are both part of a construction crew that was staying at the motel, the police department reported.
