Michael Wayne Roberts, 45, of John Day, had his charge of assault in the second degree dismissed with prejudice. Roberts was initially charged Aug. 12 on a felony count of assault in the second degree for allegedly striking a Prairie City resident with a baseball bat.
Ryan Leo Sagaser, 35, of Mt. Vernon, pleaded guilty to assault in the fourth degree, a Class A misdemeanor, committed on Dec. 15. He was sentenced to 24 months of supervised probation and ordered to pay a $100 fine. He was also ordered to serve 30 days in jail, perform 80 hours of community service or county work crew time, obtain a domestic violence assessment, participate in a substance abuse evaluation, not use or possess intoxicants, and have no contact with the victim.
Aug. 30
Carina Lee Galvin, 34, of Lake Oswego, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence of intoxicants, a Class A misdemeanor, committed on Aug. 26. She was placed on bench probation for 24 months and ordered to pay a $505 fine. She was also ordered to serve 48 hours in jail, complete a victim impact panel program, obtain a substance abuse assessment, not possess or use intoxicants, and not enter any establishment whose primary income is derived from the sale of alcohol.
