Monument Buckaroo Festival

The sixth annual Monument Buckaroo Festival and Harvest Auction kicks off at noon with horseshoes, cornhole, face painting, rock painting and kids’ activities with prizes, as well as bidder registration for the live and silent auctions. Live music begins at 1 p.m. The silent auction runs from 1 to 5 p.m., with the live auction at 3. An elk and salmon dinner is served at 4:30 p.m., and the dessert auction starts at 5:30, followed by raffle drawings at 6. Dinner is $20 per person or $35 per couple. The price is $7.50 for children aged 6-12, and kids under 6 eat free.
Lake Creek open house
• 3-8 p.m., Lake Creek Youth Camp, east of Seneca off Forest Road 16
The nonprofit youth camp east of Seneca at the base of the Strawberry Mountains will host an open house with live music and games, including cornhole, volleyball, basketball and horseshoes. A dedication ceremony for the late John Bastian, a longtime supporter of the camp, will be held at 4 p.m., with hamburgers and hot dogs at 5. RSVP to lakecreekcamp@yahoo.com.
