- NBA veteran DeMarcus Cousins reportedly is headed to play in Taiwan.
Four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins has not played in the league since the 2021-22 season but made headlines earlier this year when he signed on with a team in Puerto Rico’s professional league. Cousins’s international tour is far from over, though.
The Mobile, Ala., native, who last played in the NBA with the Nuggets, reportedly has agreed to contract terms with a team in the Taiwan’s T1 League, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Cousins’s pact with the Taiwan Beer Leopards eill cover 10 days and four games, Wojnarowski reports. Cousins is slated to join the team in mid-January.

The Leopards posted a photo of Cousins in uniform on their Facebook account, along with a video of the former NBA center announcing his intent to play in the Taiwanese league.
Known as a prolific inside-outside scorer, Cousins posted averages of 19.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game across 11 NBA seasons with the Kings, Pelicans, Warriors, Rockets, Clippers, Bucks and Nuggets.
