Prairie City/Burnt River 46 — Cove 10
The Prairie City/Burnt River Lady Panther basketball team hosted the Cove Lady Leopards on Friday, Dec. 22, sending the visitors back to Cove the victims of a 46-10 drubbing for their third win of the season.
The win leaves the Lady Panthers at 3-6 on the season while snapping a five-game losing streak. The Lady Panthers will look for their second win in a row in a rematch with Cove on Wednesday, Dec. 27, during the East Oregon Holiday Crossover at Powder Valley High School.
Tipoff for that game is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
Prairie City/Burnt River 57 — Cove 67
The Prairie City/Burnt River boys basketball team welcomed the Cove Leopards to Prairie City on Friday, Dec. 22, coming up short and falling 67-57.
The loss is the fifth straight leaves for the Panther boys and leaves the team with the same 3-6 record as the girls squad. The boys will look for a little revenge as their next game is against this very same Cove squad on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the East Oregon Holiday Crossover at Baker High School.
