POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER: Tim Nodine Memorial Clay Pigeon Shoot

• 11 a.m.-3 pm., Brad and Julie Smith’s B Bar J Ranch, Highway 402, milepost 9, Monument

This event is a fundraiser to help the family of Tim Nodine, who died unexpectedly, with medical bills and other expenses. The clay pigeon shoot will include men’s, women’s and children’s divisions at a cost of $3 a round. There will be a live auction at 1 p.m. with a dessert auction to follow. To donate an auction item or dessert, call 541-934-2143 or 541-620-4476. There will also be a chili cookoff. To enter, bring a pot of homemade chili in a crockpot. Prizes will be announced for the winners, and chili and drinks will be available for purchase.

POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER: Shotgun shooting series

• 3 p.m., Brad and Julie Smith’s B Bar J Ranch, Highway 402, milepost 9, Monument

Second in a four-part shooting competition. First prize is a Savage HMR 17 rifle with scope, second prize is $250 and third is $150. Buy-in is $100. Participants compete to see who can hit the most clay pigeons over four rounds of 25 shots each. Contestants must bring their own shotgun and ammunition and must be present at three of the four shoots to win. The remaining shoots will take place on Feb. 10 and March 9.
