DAYVILLE — Tonight’s girls and boys basketball games that were set to feature Dayville/Monument host Crane at Dayville High School have been cancelled due to hazardous travel conditions for the traveling Crane team.
The Tiger basketball teams will have normal practice from 3:30 to 5 p.m. tonight. In an email sent to the Blue Mountain Eagle, Dayville School secretary Lori Smith apologized for the short notice and any inconvenience the abrupt announcement may have caused.
Dayville athletic director Tiffanie Schmadeka said the game is technically postponed due to it being a league game for the Tigers. Schmedeka added that Crane, the referees and herself are working to reschedule the game.
The game’s new time and date will be posted to the OSAA website according to Schmedeka. Members of the community with questions can contact the Dayville School at 855-617-2412.
As of now, the games scheduled in Monument against Prairie City/Burnt River set to take place on Saturday, Jan. 13 are still going to proceed as planned.
