MONUMENT — A clay pigeon fundraiser and shotgun competition scheduled for this weekend have been postponed due to inclement weather.
Both events were scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13, at Brad and Julie Smith’s B Bar J Ranch near Monument, but Julie Smith said on Friday that they were being postponed “until further notice” because of heavy snow.
The Tim Nodine Memorial Clay Pigeon Shoot, scheduled to go from 11 a.m. to 3 pm., was to be a fundraiser to help with final expenses for Tim Nodine, who died unexpectedly in November after a stroke.
The second round in a four-part shotgun shooting competition was scheduled to be held immediately after the fundraiser.
Smith said she would announce a new date for both events soon.
