CANYON CITY — Tristan Thomas Morris, 22, of John Day, was cited and charged on two Class A misdemeanor counts of aiding in a game violation and a Class C misdemeanor count of criminal trespass in the second degree.

Morris is alleged to have assisted in the poaching of a cow elk and knowingly trespassing on private property in Grant County on Dec. 8, according to court records.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Grant County Circuit Court on March 4.
