Fair and Rodeo Court coronation dinner and auction to be held in John Day

JOHN DAY — The 2024 Grant County Fair and Rodeo Court Coronation Dinner and Auction will be held on Saturday, March 2, in the Trowbridge Pavilion at the Grant County Fairgrounds.
Doors open for auction preview and happy hour at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m.
A tri-tip dinner will be prepared by Toni Clark, with a no-host bar by the Snaffle Bit and music to follow.
Unique live and silent auction items have been donated by local ranches, businesses and individuals.
Lavina Kiser has been selected as the queen of the Grant County Fair and Rodeo for 2024, fair officials announced.
Kiser serves as princess on the 2023 court, while her twin sister, Laramie, is queen for 2023.
Dalli Jordan has been named the princess of the 2024 fair and rodeo.
Kiser lives in Mt. Vernon. She is a senior at Grant Union High School. Jordan, of Prairie City, is a senior enrolled in Oregon Connections Academy, an online school.
In their royal roles, Kiser and Jordan will represent the Grant County Fair and Rodeo in personal appearances at rodeos and other events around Oregon and throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Admittance to the dinner is $18 per person and $32 per couple.
