Redmond police seek help in 2021 unsolved homicide

REDMOND — Redmond police asked for the public’s assistance Wednesday to help solve a 2-year-old homicide.
Dustin Hilsendager, of Redmond, was discovered in his Mercedes-Benz with a gunshot wound shortly after 2 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2021, said Lt. Eric Beckwith, a spokesperson for the Redmond Police Department.
Initially, law enforcement officers thought they were responding to a crash on Southwest Canal Boulevard near Southwest Umatilla Avenue until they discovered Hilsendager, 26, in the car, Beckwith said.
More than two years after his death, police have no suspects in the case.
“The Redmond Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance for any information that may lead to the resolution of this unsolved case, RPD case #2021-33016,” according to news release from the police department.
