FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A Grant County student has been honored for academic excellence by the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

Malinda Vanloo, of John Day, has been named to the school’s fall term chancellor’s list.

The chancellor’s list is for students earning a grade point average of 3.9 or higher.
