From the editor’s desk: A week’s worth of good news

Published 9:15 am Monday, March 25, 2024

Last week’s newspaper was filled with good news: We had stories about the Top Road Firewise community getting help with fire prevention from a pair of federal agencies, Painted Sky getting a $500,000 grant to help pay off its new building, a group of Humbolt students excelling in a reading competition, and the Grant Union/Prairie City softball team beginning their state title defense with a win.

Coming up in this week’s paper, look for stories about a proposal for a new county pay scale, the latest developments with the Grant County Digital board, and more coverage of the Lady Prospector softball team, among others.
