From the editor’s desk: Stop by this Wednesday for “digital office hours”

I had a subscriber come in on Friday looking for help logging into the Blue Mountain Eagle app on his smartphone. He’s a tech-savvy guy, but the app wasn’t letting him log in. I called our Circulation Department, and their advice was to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. That works most of the time with that particular issue.
This week, we’ll be holding our first-ever “digital office hours” to offer in-person assistance to anyone who’s been having trouble accessing their digital subscription to the Blue Mountain Eagle.
This Wednesday, April 3, stop by our office at 195 N. Canyon Blvd. in John Day anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. and let us show you how to get full access to the Eagle online.
Our team will be available on site to provide in-person support, helping you set up your digital subscription or troubleshoot any issues you may be experiencing. For best results, bring your smartphone, laptop or tablet with you.
Whether you’re curious about our website features, want to explore the e-edition or need help with our smartphone app, we’re here to assist you. Plus, we’ll introduce you to the unique digital content available exclusively to our subscribers, such as interactive puzzles, multimedia stories and an extensive archive of past articles.
We look forward to assisting you.

Coming up in this week’s paper, look for stories about Hope4Paws, Iron Triangle’s lawsuit against Prairie Wood Products, the Grant Union Gold dance team, the latest developments with John Day’s planned wastewater treatment plant and more.
In case you missed it, last week’s paper featured stories on a proposal for a new county pay scale, a motion to move the burn boss trial to federal court, more resignations from the Grant County Digital board and a signature win by the Lady Prospector softball team, among others.
