JOHN DAY — The John Day Elks Lodge is accepting applications from graduating high school seniors for its Most Valuable Student Scholarship.

Two scholarships are available, one for $2,000 and the other for $1,000, to be distributed over two years upon verification of enrollment. May 10 is the deadline to apply.

Application guidelines are available from Grant County high schools or may be obtained by emailing bpoe1824@outlook.com or tjwinters1951@gmail.com.

In addition, the Oregon State Elks Foundation sponsors vocational scholarships. Application guidelines for those scholarships can be found online at oregonelks.org under the heading “What We Do.”
