Support Mark Webb for county judge
To the Editor:
I support Mark Webb for county judge because during his time as director for Blue Mountains Forest Partners he has worked with the timber industry, conservation groups, and community members to identify problems and develop solutions that improved the health of public lands, reduced wildfire risk, and created natural resource-based jobs in Grant County. Please join me in voting for Mark Webb for Grant County judge.
Food bank should return to normal
To the Editor:
Grant County Food Bank: Please! When are you going to let us back into the building? It was so much quicker through the line and frankly, a lot more efficient. You would need only half the staff you have on the line now. And unlike now, the resulting boxes would contain everything you want and nothing that you don’t. COVID is over. Let’s get back to normal.

Working together for improvement
To the Editor:
It was an exciting and encouraging experience when community members and business owners in Long Creek decided to regularly meet to discuss ideas to improve our community.
We presented some of these ideas to the city council in recent months and they have already worked with us to improve city lighting and provide youth safety jackets for added safety when children are crossing the Highway 395 intersection. We are also working on ways to slow speeding traffic through town to include discussions with law enforcement.
The owners of the Long Creek Mercantile sponsored both a Christmas and Easter event which volunteers and participants together made these events special. As spring arrives, our city beautification committee will be brainstorming to create a more welcoming appearance in our community.
Let’s keep going with more good work!
