Grant County CPA elected chair of BEO Bancorp

HEPPNER — A Grant County accountant has been named chair of BEO Bancorp, holding company for the Bank of Eastern Oregon.
Bob Armstrong, who joined the board in 2004, was elected chair at BEO Bancorp’s annual shareholders meeting in Heppner, the company announced. Armstrong is a certified public accountant and an owner of Loop Ranch LLC. He and his wife, Lauri, who works at Solutions CPAs, live near John Day.
Gabrielle Homer, who has served on the board since 2020, was elected vice chair. Homer is the chief financial officer of Fossil-based Painted Hills Natural Beef. She lives near Fossil with her husband, Will, the chief operations officer for Painted Hills.
The Bank of Eastern Oregon operates 21 branches and three loan production offices in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, including branches in John Day and Prairie City.
