Lady Pros repeat as state champs

EUGENE — The Lady Pros are once again queens of the diamond.
The Grant Union/Prairie City Lady Prospector softball team won its second straight OSAA 2A/1A softball championship in a row in dominant fashion on Friday, May 30, at Jane Saunders Stadium in Eugene, downing conference rival Weston-McEwen 11-0 after six innings of play.
The meeting is the second in a row between the two teams in the title game. Last season, the Lady Pros defeated Weston-McEwen 10-0 to claim the state championship.
The run through the postseason has been a dominant one for the Lady Pros, who scored 51 runs over the course of four games without giving up a single run to their opponents.
