Thadd’s Place Golf Tournament set for June 29

JOHN DAY — The fifth annual Thadd’s Place Golf Tournament is scheduled for this weekend.
The benefit tourney will take place on Saturday, June 29, at the John Day Golf Club, 27631 Golf Club Road, John Day. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with tee times at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The event is a major fundraiser for Thadd’s Place, a nonprofit grieving center at 635 W. Main St. in John Day. It’s modeled on the Dougy Center in Portland, the only other such facility in the state.
The entry fee is $125 per person, or $500 for a four-person team. Golf carts are available.
