Spray evacuated ahead of Lone Rock Fire

SPRAY — Residents of Spray are being urged to evacuate immediately due to the Lone Rock Fire.
The Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office issued a Level 3 “go now” evacuation notice for Spray and areas nearby around 3 p.m. Friday, July 19.
“Your safety is our top priority,” the sheriff’s office said. “Do not delay. Gather your essential belongings and pets, and leave your homes immediately.
“Stay safe and follow all instructions from emergency personnel.”
There is a designated emergency shelter located at Wheeler High School, 600 E B St, Fossil, Oregon.
Also under Level 3 evacuation status is the area along Highway 19/207 east from Spray to Alder Creek Road, up the highway to milepost 39 and north along Alder Creek Road from Highway 207/19 to Winlock.
