Betty Jane Retherford: 85, formerly of John Day, died Aug. 27, 2024, at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City. A memorial service will be Friday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in John Day, with Pastor Lee Teague officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Canyon City Cemetery.
