PRAIRIE CITY — A pair of 1A, six-man football games will still be played today despite heavy smoke from the Rail Ridge Fire burning outside Dayville.
“Still a go right now,” responded Prairie City Athletic Director Billy Colston when asked about the status of the games.
The first contest will feature Dayville/Monument/Long Creek facing off with Jordan Valley on the Panther football field at 3 p.m. The game was originally scheduled to take place in Dayville at 1 p.m. but was moved to Prairie City due to air quality concerns.
Prairie City and Wallowa will take the field in the nightcap, which starts at 7 p.m.
