DAYVILLE — The public is invited to a “meet and greet” with fire personnel on Monday, Sept. 23, in Dayville.

This is an opportunity to get firsthand, updated information on the Rail Ridge and Wiley Flat fires.

Fire personnel will be at the Dayville Mercantile, 207 Franklin St. (Highway 26), from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. to talk with area residents.

The lightning-caused wildfire has been burning south of Dayville since Sept. 2. It has burned just under 163,000 acres and is 56% contained.
