Evacuation zone eased near Rail Ridge Fire

DAYVILLE — Another evacuation advisory near the Rail Ridge Fire has been eased.

The Level 2 evacuation zone northwest of Aldrich Mountain and east of South Fork Road has been removed, the Grant County Emergency Management Office announced on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Other evacuation advisories in the fire area remain in place.

The Rail Ridge Fire, which has been burning south of Dayville since Sept. 2, is just under 176,000 acres and is 89% contained, according to fire managers.
