CANYON CITY — The following information was taken from official records of the Grant County Circuit Court:

Feb. 13

Fritz Michael Voigt, 43, of Prairie City, pleaded guilty to one count of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor committed on Jan. 9. An additional misdemeanor count of harassment was dismissed. He was given a suspended sentence and placed on bench probation for one year.

As conditions of his probation, Voigt was ordered to obtain a substance abuse assessment and complete all recommended treatment, stay out of bars and drug houses, not use intoxicants and not associate with drug users or dealers. In addition, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for time served. He is permitted to leave jail when an inpatient treatment bed becomes available. If he completes treatment, his jail sentence will be considered served; if he does not, he must immediately return to jail to serve his remaining time.

In a separate matter, Voigt was found to have violated his probation in an earlier driving under the influence case by having committed a new crime. His probation was extended for an additional 12 months, until Feb. 12, 2026, and he was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for time served on this violation only. He was ordered to move to an inpatient treatment bed when one becomes available. If he completes his treatment, he will receive credit for all jail time and his probation in the case will terminate. If he does not complete treatment, he must return to jail with no credit and serve his full sentence.

Jennifer M. Norland, 46, of Long Creek, was found to have violated her probation in a 2023 theft case for using intoxicants, failing to engage in mental health and substance abuse treatment, failing to complete her community service obligations, and other infractions. Her probation was extended for an additional 18 months, until Aug. 11, 2026.
