CANYON CITY — The following information was compiled from official records of the Grant County Circuit Court:

March 17

Christopher Stirling Banford, 30, of Vancouver, Washington, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor committed on Nov. 14, 2024. A misdemeanor count of third-degree criminal mischief was dismissed. Banford was sentenced to five days in jail with no credit for time served and fined $500.

Lisa Jene Ammon, 64, of Pendleton, pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal driving while suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor committed on Jan. 9. She was given a suspended sentence and placed on bench probation for one year. In addition, Ammon was fined $500 and ordered to perform 30 hours of community service or work crew time.

Keith Marvin Taylor, 81, of Long Creek, pleaded guilty to violating a stalking order, a misdemeanor committed on Dec. 21, 2024. Four misdemeanor counts of second-degree criminal trespass were dismissed. He was given a suspended sentence and placed on bench probation for 18 months. Taylor was also ordered to have no contact with the victim and perform 40 hours of community service or work crew time.

March 25

A misdemeanor charge of harassment against Jeremy S. Paluska, of Long Creek, was dismissed. Paluska had pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stemmed from an incident on June 4, 2024.

A misdemeanor charge of second-degree animal abuse against Jonas Cody Waite, of Dayville, was dismissed. Waite had pleaded not guilty to the charge, which arose in connection with an incident on Sept. 13, 2024.
