Courthouse to close for asbestos abatement

Canyon City has always been the county seat for Grant County. The current Courthouse was built in 1952 when O.L. Dickens was county judge and Dick Schouten and John M. Damon were the commissioners.

CANYON CITY — The Grant County Courthouse will be closed Friday, Jan. 15, through Monday, Jan. 18, for asbestos abatement.

Most Popular

The entire building will be closed, and no one will be allowed to enter, with no exceptions. All other county departments will remain open on Jan. 15.

All county offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Regular office hours will resume Tuesday, Jan. 19.
