Wally Walker is recovering well from his recent double-bypass, heart surgery, and should be home by now. He, Wally, and my stepdad sail through surgeries like there was no pain connected. I think they do that to make me look like a big, old, whiney cry baby. Glad you’re home, Wally! Probably just in time for lambing!
Also heard that Jeanne Strange was recovering from a llama wreck! She wasn’t actually riding a llama, she was riding her horse and her horse had never seen a llama before – so… Jeanne, we feel for you, girl, because we all know how “Western” it can get under those circumstances! One of the wildest wrecks I ever had was because the dog was chasing one of the cats and the cat came to me – climbed right up that horse’s leg!
The bus left for John Day this morning. The Booster Club is having a bake sale next Tuesday, Feb. 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Also on the 13th, the Home Extension will meet in Long Creek. Topic will be gems and minerals.
