Republican Central Committee

The Grant County Republican central Committee will meet to discuss the 114th Grant County Fair, the upcoming biennial platform convention in Pendleton and other matters. The public is welcome.

Third Thursday Scavenger Hunt

• 5-7 p.m., various locations, downtown John Day

The Grant County Chamber of Commerce sponsors this event highlighting downtown John Day businesses. Stop by etc., 133 W. Main St., to pick up a list of clues and directions for the scavenger hunt. Find all the items to be entered into a drawing for a $50 Grant County Greenback.

The Grant County Health Department will offer comprehensive checkups for middle and high school students, including an OSAA sports participation form if needed. Come 15 minutes early and bring insurance information for billing. For more information, call 541-575-0429.
