Obituaries: Terry John Wright

Terry John Wright, 53, of John Day, died May 21, 2008 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 7, at Canyon City Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 15, 1954 in Pendleton to Ken and Carol (Southwick) Wright. He graduated from high school in North Bend in 1973. He joined the United States Air Force, serving his country for three years. Later he became a welder/metal fabricator.

He was an avid sportsman. He loved all aspects of the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and camping with his friends and family.

Mr. Wright is survived by his parents, Ken and Carol Wright of John Day; sister, Denise Wright-Hayner of Bend; brothers, Howard of Canyon City and Jeff of Redmond; two nephews, Andrew of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne and Aaron of Canyon City.
