Grant County junior golf program starts July 11

JOHN DAY — Grant County youth aged 7-18 are invited to participate in junior golf, whether it’s their first time picking up a set of golf clubs or they’re seasoned veterans of the sport.

The program will take place over the course of two weeks, July 11-20. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday-Thursday at the John Day Golf Club, 27631 Golf Club Road, John Day.

A team scramble will be held on the final two days of the junior golf program, with awards and an ice cream party to close out the event at the John Day Golf Club on July 20.

The cost is $40 per person, with sign-ups occurring the morning of July 11. Golf clubs will be available for those who need them.
