Dayville students honored in Elks essay contest

DAYVILLE — Eight students at Dayville School received certificates and cash prizes on Wednesday, March 13, for their participation in an essay contest sponsored by the John Day Elks Lodge.

The students wrote on the topic of “What the Bill of Rights Means to Me.”
The local essay contest is part of an annual competition sponsored by the Committee on Americanism of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
