The Self-Enhancing Techniques program, a 10-week coarse for young women (12 to 18), was taught for the sixth time this year. The program focuses on dating relationships, domestic violence, body image, alcohol and drug awareness and sexually transmitted desease.
Karen Triplett, a registered nurse, and Larry Johnston from the Oregon State Police, assisted SET instructor Sara Jane Hendrix-Moore in teaching the program, and provide a contact if the students need someone to talk to.
The program is funded by the Commission on Children and Families and the Grant County Juvenile Department.
Kelly McKern from the Grant County Juvenile Department provided the transportation and helped facilitate the class.
