James W. Damon: 95, of Bend, formerly of Mt. Vernon, died Aug. 25, 2024. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Canyon City Cemetery, with short ceremonies led by U.S. Air Force veterans and the officers of the John Day Elks Lodge. An Elks memorial service will be held at a later date.
