Map shows bicycle trail closures near Magone Lake on the Malheur National Forest north of Prairie City.

PRAIRIE CITY — The Malheur National Forest has closed several bike trails near Magone Lake while logging is going on in the area.

The closures will be effective until Sept. 30 unless rescinded sooner.

These trails are closed:

• 5096, Back of Beyond Trail

• 5098, Beyond Trail

• 5102, Lake Butte Trail from Tinker Bell Trail to Porcupine Spring Trail

• 5097, Berts Trail

• 5101, Hook Trail

• 5103, Tinker Bell from Tinker Creek Trailhead to Lake Butte Trail.

• 5038, EZ Street Trail

• 353 and 5025, Magone Slide Trail

• 5099, Deadhead Trail

Closure signs will be posted on the ground, and a detailed map of the closure will be available on the Malheur National Forest website, www.fs.usda.gov/malheur, and at all forest offices.
