How about that? This will be my last work for 2004, which you won’t read until 2005.

For our dinner on Dec. 28, we had 34 hungry people enjoy a meal of fried chicken with all the fixin’s. We celebrated birthdays with Ruth Petersen for Dec. 12 and Carl Cox, whom I think was 90 on the 20th.
Happy birthday to our fearless leader, Marty Jensen. By the time this shows up she will be another year older.
Our visitors for the day were Joann Griffith from Spray, Mary Powell, Janice Hunt and Nadine Bradley, all down from Long Creek, and Thelma Temple and Helen Bogart from John Day.

Helen Bogart presented us with a check from Deborah Chapter #43 Order of Eastern Star of Prairie City to furnish a meal for us. That was very nice and we appreciate it greatly.
Our free meal was won by Betty Shrofe; Nadine Bradley won the certificate from Chester’s Thriftway while Clyde Cavender won the Guy’s and Gal’s certificate.
I am going to celebrate New Year’s Eve at our Senior Watch Party and bingo game. I don’t know what they’re watching for, they all go home about 11 p.m.
I just found out that by the time you are reading this, I will be in Redmond having my knee replaced. Then I will be through with all the running gears.
This will be late, but Happy New Year anyway.
