Council approves development code

JOHN DAY – The new John Day Development Code was passed at the Oct. 25 City Council.

There were no comments from citizens at the second of two public hearings that was held during the council meeting.

There a few wording changes on a couple of sections of the code, said Scot Siegel, from Siegel Planning Services in Lake Oswego.

“The code will go into effect in 30 days and we should have all the little glitches taken care of by then,” he said.
