Circuit CourtCANYON CITY – Grant County Circuit Court reported the following fines and judgments:

Daniel Lambeth, Star, Idaho, was found guilty on charges of second-degree theft, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and tampering with physical evidence.

On the charge of second-degree theft, he was sentenced to 30 days in the Grant County jail, with credit for time served, and placed on circuit court probation for 24 months.

He was fined a total of $2,126, which included a unitary assessment of $69, a county assessment of $59 and $1,000 in attorney fees, with $1,000 of the fine suspended.

In addition, the court ordered Lambeth to pay an additional $2,134 in compensatory fines to the victims in this incident.

On the charge of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, he was sentenced to 30 days in the Grant County Jail, to be served consecutively with the 30 days he received on the charge of second-degree theft, and placed on circuit court probation for 20 months.

Lambeth was further ordered by the court to pay a $67 unitary assessment.

On the tampering with physical evidence charge, he was placed on circuit court probation for two years and ordered to pay a unitary assessment of $67.

The fines in these cases will be paid at the rate of $100 per month beginning on March 17.

Ronald Wayne Collins pleaded guilty on charges of attempting to elude a police vehicle and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

On the charge of attempting to elude a police vehicle, he was sentenced to 10 days in the Grant County Jail, with credit for time served, and placed on probation for 18 months.

Collins was given an additional 90 sanctions units, 30 of which are jail units, and ordered by the court to perform 80 hours of community service.

He was fined a total of $1,484, which included a unitary assessment of $105, a county assessment of $59 and $320 in attorney fees, with $1,000 of the fine suspended.

In addition, Collins was ordered by the court to obtain an alcohol or substance abuse evaluation and to enter into and successfully complete an alcohol or substance abuse program at his own expense.

On the charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, he was sentenced to 45 days in the Grant County Jail, with credit for time served and placed on probation for 24 months.

Collins was fined a total of $2,284, which included a unitary assessment of $95, a county assessment of $59, $25 to the intoxicated driver program funds and $105 in state obligation, with $1,000 of the fine suspended.

His driver’s license was suspended for three years and he was ordered by the court to perform 80 hours of community service.

Additional charges of failure to carry/present license, careless driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving without required lighting equipment and open container of alcohol were dismissed.

Kelly Ann Allen, Canyon City, pleaded guilty on a charge of possession of a Schedule-2 controlled substance and was sentenced to 10 days in the Grant County Jail, with credit for time served, and placed on probation for 18 months.

She was ordered to pay $50 in attorney fees and given the drug package, which includes special probationary conditions for drug-related offenses.

Michael Colby Gibbs pleaded guilty on a charge of possession of a Schedule-1 controlled substance and was sentenced to 10 days in the Grant County Jail, with credit for time served, and placed on probation for 18 months.

He was also given an additional 90 sanction units, 30 of which are jail units, and ordered by the court to perform 80 hours of community service, and given the drug package, which includes special probationary conditions for drug-related offenses.

Gibbs was fined a total of $1,366, which included a unitary assessment of $107, a county assessment of $59 and $200 in attorney fees, with $500 of the fine suspended.

Justice CourtCANYON CITY – Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:

Miscellaneous Violations

Robert DeCusto, Melotias, violation of basic speed rule (80/55 zone). Fined $237.

Brian Clugston, Culver, violation of basic speed rule (78/55 zone). Fined $180.

Lawrence Henderson, John Day, failure to obey a traffic control device (accident). Fined $320.

Kelly Swanson, Long Creek, unlawful cutting of coniferous trees. Fined $100.

Samuel Kyriss, Prairie City, violation of basic speed rule (50/35 zone). Fined $110.

He was fined an additional $180 on a charge of driving outside restrictions.
