Georgina “Jean” Lillian Begg, 90, of Birkenfeld, died in a hospice care center in Longview, Wash.
A memorial service is 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, at Mist Oregon Historical Church.
Mrs. Begg was born Nov. 2, 1913, to George H. and Lillian M. (Thompson) Hamel in Chicago, Ill. In 1944 she moved to John Day; 1986-1994 lived in Prineville and since then lived in Birkenfeld.

She was a homemaker. She worked in the WWII Bomber Plan, “Rosie The Riveter.”
Mrs. Begg was an avid gardener, loved making quilts for all her family and friends and loved people. She also enjoyed waltzing on roller skates and skated into her mid-70s at the Prineville roller rink.
When she was in her 80s she rode an elephant and a motorcycle.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Jean Tuttle of Brush Prairie, Wash., and Arlene May Stauning of Birkenfeld; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Ronald, three brothers, one sister, stepmother, and one stepbrother.
Dahl McVicker Funeral Home in Kelso, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
