PRAIRIE CITY — The Prairie City Fiber Fest is accepting scholarship applications.

The nonprofit group that sponsors the annual fiber arts festival sponsors a $1,000 scholarship for local 4-H and FFA students who are graduating high school and pursuing higher education.

Application forms can be found online at prairiecityfiberfest.com or picked up from the local Oregon State University Extension Service office or from high school guidance counselors at Grant Union and Prairie City schools.

In addition to providing the scholarship, the organization helps local 4-H and FFA students with the cost of attending conferences and other activities and will provide funding for 4-H and FFA clubs that help with this year’s Fiber Fest, slated for July 26-27 in Prairie City.
