Volunteers needed for fair horse show

JOHN DAY – The Open Class Horse Show traditionally held in August during the Grant County Fair is looking for show managers for the 2004 event.

Show managers are needed for the Saturday rail classes and Sunday cattle and reining classes. Duties of each position include overseeing the details of the day and the overall process of the show. Anyone with an interest in any aspect of the two-day equestrian events are urged to call the fair office.

In addition, Fair Manager Carolyn Stout is seeking input for the 2004 Gun and Sports Show. Community members are asked to share ideas of when to plan the show, hours of operation and which speakers and vendors to feature. Ideas can be mailed Grant County Fair at 411 N.W.
