Jim and Cindy Martishius are new owners of Trails End restaurant in downtown Long Creek.

LONG CREEK – Jim and Cindy Martishius are new owners of Trails End restaurant, located at the corner of Highway 395 and Main Street in Long Creek. The couple purchased Peggy’s Place from Rusty and Peggy Clark in mid-April and will continue to serve the community with a restaurant, grocery and liquor store. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Closed on Sunday. There are plans to expand the restaurant with a full menu.

The Martishius family moved from Wilmington, N.C., about a year ago to be free of the crowding, crime and noise of the big city. They have three children, Mitchell, who is a freshman at Grant Union High School; 10-year-old Zachary and 4-year-old Madeline.
