JOHN DAY –Figaros, located at 401 W. Main St., is under new ownership since Ken and Angela Olson took over Nov. 24. While this is their first venture at a restaurant, Angela’s parents had a small pizza business while she was growing up.

The main menu items are pizza (baked or ready to bake) and bread sticks along with lasagna, salads and beverages. New products, such as chicken fingers and personal calzones, are planned in 2004.

Kenny Scott is serving as manager and Kayle Reno is assistant manager.

Hours are 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The Olsons reside in Canyon City with their children, 11-year-old Mark, 6-year-old Dallas and 4-year-old Bo.
