JOHN DAY – The Outpost has a new and improved home at 201 W. Main St., next door to the previous location of the business.
Owners Bill and Janet Robertson and Matt and Kim Randleas opened the new operation on May 21 with an expanded facility covering 7,000 square feet on the main floor. The new dining room seats 98, and there are two banquet/meeting rooms, each seating 50, which can be used individually or combined for larger groups. The meeting rooms open to a full-service non-smoking Pub which seats 35. Lotto machines will be installed soon and the room is equipped with a large-screen TV for ball game viewing.
The restaurant still serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a new and expanded menu, some longtime favorites and some new menu items. Janet Robertson noted that free delivery is still available to customers in the John Day-Canyon City areas. A large parking area is situated at the rear of the building for off-street parking.
The business move has been well-received by the community and visitors to the area, Robertson said. For more information, call 575-0250.
